Amena Academy is proud to announce a FREE skills acquisition programme in Catering & Hospitality Management, delivered in partnership with global and national development partners including the World Bank, the IDEAS (Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills) Project, and the Federal Ministry of Education.

This programme is designed to empower youth and participants with industry-relevant skills, increase self-employment opportunities, and strengthen Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem. The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts under the IDEAS Project, a major skills development intervention supported by the World Bank and the Ministry of Education to expand access to high-quality vocational training in Nigeria’s workforce sectors. Instead of tearing down this unsafe building and rebuilding it properly with solid foundations, expert design, and local professionals who understand its needs, the landlord has been advised only to keep pouring money into cosmetic repairs every few years. Billions are spent on paint, patchwork, and temporary fixes, while over 200 million occupants remain trapped inside, hoping these surface treatments will prevent collapse. The reality is grim. The building continues to deteriorate, and its collapse is inevitable.
