The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has launched an exciting Free CAC Business Registration Initiative aimed at empowering Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria. With 250,000 free business registration slots, this initiative is designed to help Nigerian entrepreneurs formalise their businesses, unlock opportunities for growth, access finance, and benefit from government support programs.

SMEDAN recognises that formal business registration is a critical step toward accessing loans, grants, contracts, and other economic opportunities. To reduce barriers and foster an enabling environment for MSMEs, this initiative will fully cover the cost of Company and Allied Matters Commission (CAC) registration for selected applicants.

🎯 Who Is Eligible?

This initiative is open to:

  • Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria

  • Sole proprietors, partnerships, limited liability companies and startups

  • Informal businesses ready to formalise with CAC

Priority will be given to businesses that:
✔ Are operating or registered in Nigeria
✔ Have a clear business idea or activity
✔ Demonstrate readiness to be formalised

Selected MSMEs will receive:
✅ Free business name reservation and registration
✅ Assistance with required documentation
✅ Official CAC certificate once registered
✅ Guidance on post-registration compliance
