 Invitation to Participate in the National Students’ TVET Performance Awards – Celebrating Skills, Innovation & Creativity

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to formally invite your esteemed institution to participate in the National Students’ TVET Performance Awards, a nationwide initiative designed to promote technical skills, innovation, creativity, and practical learning among secondary school students across Nigeria.

This programme seeks to recognize and celebrate outstanding student performance in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) disciplines, while also encouraging early talent discovery, innovation, and entrepreneurship among young Nigerians.

Award Focus Areas

Participating schools are invited to nominate teams of five (5) students per skill category in the following areas:

  1. Fashion Design & Garment Production

  2. Leather Works & Footwear Production

  3. Technology & Innovation (Robotics, Software, Engineering Concepts, Digital Solutions)

  4. Music, Creative Arts & Entertainment

Project Requirements

Each nominated team is expected to:

  • Conceptualize and create an original product or innovation within their chosen category

  • Carry out all activities within the school or approved workshop environment

  • Document the entire process through step-by-step video and photo recordings

  • Demonstrate creativity, originality, teamwork, and technical competence

  • Ensure students are in school uniform during the project execution for identification and authenticity

Evaluation & Recognition

Projects will be assessed based on:

  • Creativity and originality

  • Practical application and functionality

  • Skill demonstration and innovation

  • Presentation and documentation

Outstanding schools and students will be honored at a National Award Dinner & Recognition Ceremony, where winners will receive:

  • Certificates and trophies

  • Media exposure and national recognition

  • Opportunities for mentorship, investment, and further development
