Edo Shoe Manufacturing Company is an indigenous footwear design Manufacturing Company based in Edo state Nigeria, registered with Corporate Affair Commission (CAC) The Company was established to contribute towards the development of the private industrial sectors in Nigeria. Since the commencement of operation in 2016, our company has been involved in the production of quality school leather sandals, Pam slippers, shoes for male and females, training of unemployed youths in Edo state into shoe manufacturing. EDO Shoe is poised to provide quality services to our numerous clients in the area of footwear and to have the interest of average Nigerian citizens who cannot afford high cost shoes, sandals. As part of our community engagement, all our students are given the opportunity to have a product lines within Edoshoe manufacturing. Before products line is accepted by Edoshoe manufacturing company, it must go through quality control of the company; this is to ensure we meet customer’s expectation as regards to quality.
As part of our effort to help create job opportunities and reduce illegal migration among unemployed graduate, artisans, physically challenge persons and returning migrant In Edo state and Nigeria at large, the Edoshoe Academy was birthed the ideal is train and inculcate entrepreneurship skills on leather work to the students this enable us reduce unemployment rate and illegal migration among Nigerian. Over the years, we have successfully set up Footwear Manufacturers in Edo state, Nigeria in collaboration with funding partners who have equipped our students with machines/ tools needed to start their own business.
Edoshoe Academy runs its programmes four times a year; these programmes are divided into sections to cover all areas of leathers works. The first section is a 2months programmes which covers basic Pam/Sandals Making. The second section focus on bag, belt, wallet, the 3rd section focuses on all kinds of shoes while the fourth section focuses in all areas of leatherworks at the end of the training, a co working space are provided for them to bring in jobs, those who which to build a product line with edoshoe are given privileged to design a product that will be product by the students.
Edoshoe Manufacturing Company won the A2s Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition in 2022, National Finalist Twice of the Future Award Africa 2017, and Certificate was presented to Edoshoe by Nigerian Celebrity Mr Peter Okoye (P. Square). In 2018, Edoshoe was also acknowledged by the Formal President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasenjo during Global Student Entrepreneurship Award. Finally same year samples of our products were given to the Vice President of Nigeria professor Yemi Osibanjo and the state Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki during SMEs Clinic in Edo state.
At the end of the training a certificate are issued to the participants in collaboration with the partner’s, universities and other institution. Edo shoe manufacturing companies in Edo state have trained artisan on leather works which are also gender friendly, boy (40%) and girls (60%) on the following (Bag, Shoe, Belt, Pam Sandals etc).
Edoshoe Manufacturing Company has a strong partnership with Edo State Government through EDO STATE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (EDOJOB), this partnership is to help create job opportunities through training of unemployed graduate and artisans within the state.
