Young professionals and students interested in agriculture, rural development, food security, and international development are invited to apply for the 2026 Internship Programme at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The internship provides a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in global agricultural development and poverty reduction initiatives while working with an international development organization.

IFAD is a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to investing in rural people, improving agricultural productivity, and reducing poverty in developing countries.

🌍 Internship Overview

The IFAD Internship Programme offers young professionals the opportunity to work alongside experts in agriculture, climate change, rural finance, food systems, and development policy.

Selected interns will contribute to projects that support rural farmers, food security, and sustainable agricultural development worldwide.

📅 Duration

  • 6 months internship

  • Possibility of extension for another 6 months depending on performance and departmental needs. (IFAD)

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Be enrolled in an accredited university or graduate school, or have graduated within the last 24 months

  • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study

  • Be fluent in English (knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic is an advantage)

  • Have academic background in fields such as:

    • Agriculture

    • Rural development

    • Economics

    • Environmental studies

    • Social sciences

    • International development

3'   Edo Inland Dry Port Gets FG’s Approval as Port of Origin, Destination, Says CEO admin November 11, 2020 Marine Engineering Services (AMES), says it has secured the Federal Government’s approval to promote Edo inland Dry port as a port of origin and destination. Dr Charles Akhigbe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, who disclosed this on Wednesday, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin, added that the port was expected to create no fewer than 5,000 jobs, including ancillary services.
