Call for Applications: Italian Government Scholarships 2026–2027 for Foreign Students and Italians Residing Abroad (IRE)

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has officially opened applications for the Italian Government Scholarships for the 2026–2027 Academic Year.

The scholarship is available to foreign students and Italians residing abroad (IRE) who wish to pursue higher education, research, or specialized training in Italy. The programme aims to strengthen international cooperation in culture, science, and technology while promoting the Italian language and education system worldwide. (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Scholarship Details

The Italian Government Scholarship supports students enrolled in approved academic programs in Italy.

Eligible Programmes

Applicants can apply for the following programmes:

  • Master’s Degree Programmes (Laurea Magistrale)

  • AFAM programmes (Arts, Music and Dance institutions)

  • Advanced courses in Italian language and culture

Eligibility Criteria
