The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) has officially opened applications for the AWF-Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship 2026 Cohort, a fully funded professional development opportunity designed to equip young African conservation and environmental leaders with essential leadership and management skills to drive impact across the continent. About the Fellowship

The AWF-Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship is a transformative programme that brings together emerging African professionals from diverse sectors — including NGOs, the private sector, public agencies, and community-based organisations — with demonstrated passion for environmental and conservation work. The fellowship focuses on building strong leadership and management competencies, enhancing organisational effectiveness, and enabling fellows to drive real-world environmental impact. Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

Age: Between 20 and 35 years.
Nationality: Citizens of an African country, living and working within Africa.
Professional Background: Employed, volunteering, or founding/leading roles in conservation or environmental work — including project management, communications, finance, community engagement, fundraising, wildlife management, and related areas.
Education: Minimum of a diploma or equivalent qualification.
Language: Applicants must be proficient in English; submissions in English only. Francophone and Lusophone candidates must demonstrate basic English speaking and writing skills. (Opportunity For Africa)
