Governor Okpebholo Receives Award for Outstanding Commitment to TVET Development
Benin City, Edo State – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has been honored with the prestigious Award for Outstanding Commitment to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Development, in recognition of his unwavering support for skills development, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and workforce transformation in Edo State.
The award celebrates Governor Okpebholo's remarkable leadership in promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training as a strategic tool for reducing unemployment, stimulating industrial growth, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for young people across the state.
Since assuming office, the Governor has demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening the TVET ecosystem by supporting initiatives that equip youths with practical, industry-relevant skills. His administration has continued to encourage collaboration between government, private sector organizations, development partners, educational institutions, and vocational training providers to ensure that Edo youths acquire globally competitive competencies.
